I found this quote in an answer on Islamqa website. What do you Muslims and non-Muslims think of it? Is there a place for Islam in the modern world when Sheiks are spraffing nonsense like this?

Any religious pursuit or faith that does not recognize the Divine Feminine, is suspect in my humble opinion. To not honor and respect equally the contributions of women to the survival of our species, is to negate half of the necessary and vital duality of our reality.

Yes there is a place for Islam in the modern world, as there is a place for all religions.
We all need to start realising that these religions were created thousands of years ago and we should not take every page, word for word, literally.
But by you "quoting" this answer you are also "spraffing nonsense" . You are picking a small sentence and expecting everyone to make an opinion about Islam from this.
I am sure that we could find a sentence that would make us question if there is a place for Christianity in this modern world, with some English man "spraffing nonsense".

We will only find peace if we stop judging, stereotyping, assuming............ and start listening, respecting and seeing people as individuals. Only judging those that should be judged, supporting each other that deserve to be supported...... regardless of their race or religion.

There could very well be evidence for the quote. Keeping in mind that if one is living in an oppressive state, he/she would do "what it takes to survive". In other words, the statement is circular. The situation was created, obviously, by a man and when women had to learn to adapt in order to survive, the statement was then found evident.
It is ignorance and the work of someone with their eyes closed.

I think it is meant to belittle and control women. It is in my eyes a sexist quote and making it sound as though women are fickle, incapable of making and keeping to their own decision and very offensive to me as a female. Like all religions there are good and bad aspects and of course there is a place for Islam in the modern world, but some ideas are outdated, just like the Bible saying women come from man's spare rib.

i think of Islam is Judeo-Christianity. i like the concept that there is an extremely final prophet that delivered an unalterable be conscious to his human beings yet i'm unable to help yet think of it became right into a faith propagated by using the sword that delivered significant political income to its founder, Muhammed. i don't basically like the concept that its truths are based upon ONE guy's revelation. i don't basically like the concept that Muhammed had finished differences of concepts related to revelation (and it became into blamed upon the devil - rather this could mean all his revelation became into deceptive). i'm not chuffed with the concept that Jesus (founding father of Christianity and a Jew) might come returned to kill the pigs (Jews) and destroy the pass (Christians). i don't accept as true with the scientific care of ladies folk below Sharia (curiously that's okay to 'gently' beat your woman if all else fails!!). whether, I do think of Muslims are very disciplined of their non secular interest. on the full they seem honest and zealous (overly from time to time as we see with the extremists). whether, I do think of there are a number of greater sympathisers with the extremist perspectives than is made out. i think of the ostensibly tolerant approach shown by using maximum human beings of Muslims is analogous to that shown by using maximum Christians (deep down they have confidence they are dazzling and all others could be converted!). i'm Christian, I even have study super factors of a translated Quran (i understand, it could't be transaletd with out dropping meaning!!) and that i've got studied the fairly some religions of the international. i'm confident that Christianity is the terrific way of attending to God for me. i won't presume to appreciate what's actual for you.

Oh dear that's a bit of a worry, If indeed faith is like a white knuckle ride. I don't think it is, I think if your faith depends on your self then perhaps this could be true. But NOT if your faith depends God who became man to save us from separation and the lake of fire.

As I have answered before on another question do not believe all you read or hear about different faiths it is just evil people making statements to stir up hatred. Does it matter what faith a person is it is the person inside you look at not their faith

That belief isn't unique to Islam. Other faiths may say it differently, but they too teach that women are weak (remember that Eve is the one who ate the apple?).
