i know that severely damaged hair cant be fixed but is there anything that can get me thru the growing it back out stage. The salon I went to stuck me with someone new to highlite my hair (acutally the manager) and she ended up redoing it three times-my hair is fried and I cant believe she kept me coming back if it would do this much damage. I didnt think it would be this bad considdering she was the owner of the place--wouldnt she know that you cant process it that many times? My hair was very long and I now have short hair because of this---I am so upset I could scream---are there any products anyone would recomend?

This is a really cheap alternative... I actually did this last night. Go to Sally Beauty supply and get a big jar of Cholesteral... I know it sounds sick, but it's like really thick conditioner and it's really cheap. After you wash your hair and get out of the shower, slather this in your hair, but your hair in a shower cap, wrap a hot towel around your head, followed by another towel (to keep in the heat) and let it sit for 30 min. Rinse it out and enjoy!

sounds just like the problem I had a few months ago, what I did was,I brought pantee conditioner for damage hair, and panteen shampoo, I put on the conditioner and used a plastic bag and wrapped my hair in it,left it on for 2 hours. Then washed it out and shampooed my hair.Let it air dry... A very good product that I use now is called AVEDA i USE THE Shampoo,Conditioner, leave in conditioner and hair spray .These products has brought my hair back to life. And go find yourself a good salon and have your hair cut & reshaped every 6 weeks and you will see a big difference,as your hair grows it will be very healthy. Hope I was able to help you out...Good Luck to you.

This happend to my hair and I demanded that they pay for my hair to be treated whenever I needed it. Most salons will understand that you don't mess someones hair and not have to deal with it. I sure hope you didn't pay for this and I hope you demand that they supply the products from their salon to help with the damage. I did and I didn't have to pay for hair products for a year. If they say there is really nothing they can do, tell them that is absolutely not acceptable and you will have to call they corporate office. That's what I had to do and I had to be very persistent. It was my virgin hair and it turn out so fried and orange. If you payed for this you need to demand a refund no matter what.

Demand that the salon give you a free deep conditioning. They fried it, let them help fix it. I would also report them to the Better Business Bureau. They should not get off scott free for their incompetence.

Neutrogena leave in conditioning foam... its really light, and it will leave your hair silky in the meantime... and some people SWEAR there are multi vitamins that you can take to stimulate hair growth.. however.. i dont think there is any science to back it up.
