I've heard and read both, but not sure which one to set up an appointment with. Has anyone here set up an appointment for thinning hair and what do they do for it?

Go see the doctor first to rule out medical conditions, and then if they think it is a skin issue, they will refer you to a dermatologist. My hair was thinning a year ago and my doctor said it was stress and because I wasn't eating proper vitamins; it has gotten much better lately.

For hair related problems you need a tricologist, they are the hair specialists!

A Doctor first. If it's very serious, he can refer you to a specialist.
