They end up on TV, like in Xena or Hercules for your Greek and Roman religions.
Or they are used in books of fantasy, like old Gods or Nourish Gods.
But in reality some of these Gods are still worshiped. Although it's hard to imagine that in this day in age people still bow down to Ares or Pluto...

they crop in some believers mind with different name and assume that new name to be called on in need.
like a ministry in the government the top boss in universe has distributed different portfolios to different gods to carry out non stop activities. like u every time or for petty works can not call the president of a country or chief justice or top brass in police, u approach a relevant officer for a problem so is the system there also.

Any entity, gods, science, money , status, your car, your family, or whatever, that competes with Jesus for your obedience is a spirit that is anti-Jesus. They come in millions of disguises and forms, but their goal is always the same - to dissuade you from following Jesus. What happens when you stop believing in or empowering these other spirits? They merely come at you in another form and in a more crafty manner.
Keeping ones heart and mind is Jesus is the only way to keep them from having an effect.

They wait until we rediscover them. Sometimes this takes centuries. Fortunately, we can trust that most gods won't become bitter (a human emotion).

They're just stories. They never existed. God Almighty, on the other hand will always have true believers in His Name.

They never existed anyway, so , nothing becomes of them. If they were real they would endure thoughout all of history as the God of the Bible has.

God has destroyed many false idols but man keeps finding others to create when there is only one true God.
