It is the ones who least understand science that cling to it as if it were a 'religion'. There is a great lack of spirituality in the world today. But people are realizing that they lack something.

Science full of unexplained instances. It is theories that over time through study and knowledge (facts) that scientists discover which one's are plausible and which one's are not. Such things like creatism and evolution are both scientifically backed these days. It's a look at the study and knowledge (facts) that we have aquired over time that defines which is a plausible truth and which is a merely a idea.
Considering that in all phases of knowledge, we look for evidence to support or deny any or all claims in one study or another. From the historical to the scientific, it is through these processes that we incur our knowledge.
Concerning the Holy Bible. The books of the New Testament were written between the 40s and the 90s A.D. That's 1900 to 1950 years ago. The books of the Old Testament were written between the 400s and 1400s B.C. That's 2400 to 3400 years ago. That is a sizable chunk of time, from then until now, that is completely accurate, historically. And if it is historically concise, why not scientifically.
Science has yet to disprove creationism. Over time, science has been proving, more and more, facts concerning creationism. To a believer, the Holy Bible is truth. To a historian, the Holy Bible is truth. To a scientist, the Holy Bible is more and more true, filling in the gaps of what we do not know.
Science can explain alot of things, if you want it to. Science can explain alot of events, if you want it to. Science is the path to determining the truth through rational thought, weighing the factors involved and stating a law. Science can explain creationism, if you let it.
Why do people think they can answer everything with science? Because they can't. They can answer alot of things. Today they might be right. Tomorrow they might make an important discovery that leads us change our mind about what was right but now is wrong. We are always learning in this respect.
It's not that people think they have to prove everything using science. Only that SOME want to be able to prove. Most want answers. Science gives them a channel to find SOME answers.
Have people lost touch with spirtuality? People have lost touch with God.
Do they think they're more powerful than God? I doubt it. Maybe they do not want to believe that there is a power out there the likes we have never seen in FULL glory. We've seen it, but to contemplate that we are not the highest being, some chose to not accept it.
Where does God fit in? Sadly, for some he won't...and for whatever reason.
Since when did we choose to forget, "In the beginning..."

Yes. Take physics for example. There are certain laws and principles at work and it does not change like our Lord. God gave us intelligence to figure out science and He gives us Faith for the Spiritual things. Think about how religious Einstein was. He said the universe is proof of God even with His understanding of science. Or the concept of infinity. That pretty much describes our Lord.
It is a shame that the only thing that is remotely main stream and proven that believes in a just and merciful God is AA and other 12 step programs. But if it is the only way to help severe alcoholics then it must be valid because it works.

its much easy to understand god with the development of science.scientists discover(uncover)laws which do exist .when a family needs aguardian, a country needs a president, chiefjustice, commander then the systematic rotation of sun, stars, rotatin of earth, change in seasons, how it can happen on its own.
there is one who has appointed subordinates to carry on activities with fixed laws and no change .scientists have proved energy is never lost ,its form only gets changed.
whats this energy which is in earth, plants, human beings and every thing.
like in inernet we all are conversating with the help of cables, wireless system, satellite and a server somewhere.when we need a system to get access internet, telephone, mobile, satelite phone, radio ,so its compulsory that there too exist a communication system which is systematic but more advanced and need not wires and machines but work at thought level.
more u know science more is a person closer to god ,science is being misinterpreted by books and magazines as saying we are more powerful but see with the advancement of science we have not become more happy while we are more rich in every thing.the persons who love every being in the universe created only gets peace of mind.
one who sees him(god/energy)everywhere is always in his touch
bye ,try to watch morning rising orange sun and think why it works on time .?

you cannot answer everything with science because all science can answer is the observable. one cannot explain god, nor his or her creation with science, but we can explain how a star is created physically, let's say. how we believe the matter got there in the first place is for the individual to decide. you can go with your feelings and faith, or go with science, which falls short.

Science uses rational explanations that do not rely on emotion or prejudice. Spirituallity is completely dependent on emotion and feelings, and therefore is not rational or impartial.
Edited: Bess, Einstein wasn't religious. He denied the existence of an immortal soul, he didn't believe in a personal God, and he didn't believe in a divine plan.

You cannot explain everything with science. For example, you can't use science to explain where a person goes after they die.

Spirituality is what justifies people running planes into buildings. A rational view of the world would never justify that. Rejection of faith is our world's one true hope.
