My son got chicken pox at aged 4 and gave them to my youngest son who was 5 months old at the time and he was absolutely covered in spots. It made him pretty uncomfortable with a slight temperature and I was given the go ahead from my GP to give him a small dose of antihistamine to help with the itching, also calamine lotion and lukewarm baths with a little salt in it to help dry out the spots. Chicken pox is contagious until all the spots have scabbed over.

at first, who're those human beings? do not enable them to on your place in case you're that throughout contact. you do not say the place the guy with chicken Pox is interior the ailment. chicken Pox like each thing else has a particular time-physique wherein they are infectious. i'm not a well-being practitioner and that is been a on the same time as because of the fact that I even have had childrens, i don't bear in mind precisely what that element physique is. i think of that the rule of thumb that my Pediatrician used became into after the rash became into thoroughly blown or while they have a seen rash that has not worsened for an afternoon or 2, they at the instant are not infectious. i've got confidence that the infectious era is greater pre injury out than after. call a Pediatrician, a relatives physician, seem them up on line to make specific and then do what you could to regulate the atmosphere and make it risk-free on your newborn. in case you at the instant are not tender with them being there because of the fact of an ailment, it is your accountability as a discern. Do what's sweet on your newborn and enable the may well be travelers understand which you haven't any purpose of taking part in hostess to an ailment that would jeopardize your newborn. good success and "lock the doorways"

Yes, a child does not get the "chicken pox vaccination" until they are a year old, and even then it is not an actual vaccination that assures you of not getting chicken pox, but only to make them milder. My children had the vaccination and then ended up with chicken pox but only had about 5 pox. If the doctor can't tell if they are chicken pox, maybe you should find another pediatrician.

Yes he can but it is a much milder version of the real thing. Watch our for irritability, raised temp and a runny nose for a few days. Spots will usually appear after ten days of infection. Bathe baby or child in bath with couple of tablespoons of breadsoda in the water. It will relieve the itching and reduce the risk of little scars. There is NO vaccine for chicken pox.

Children arent immunised against chicken pox-it is fairly harmless. The younger they get it the better as they dont scratch as much and leave scars. Both my kids had it before they were 1-my daughter was 6 months old-apart from a slight temperature they were both fine. Nothing to worry about unless you are pregnant-it can harm the foetus.

Yes anyone can get the chicken pox. I don't think they start the vaccination process until they are at least two. But if you see any signs on the baby definately call a doc ASAP.

Yes , unfortunately immunisations don't prevent chicken pox. Some say its better to get them early less scarring as you can control the scratching. Porridge oats in a bag or stocking tied and put into a child's bath gives a soothing bath as oats have natural antihistamine properties. Effective, harmless and cheap! Bless them babes and hope there over it soon. xx

Yes he can AND if you think he may have it and you know a woman in the late stages of pregnancy - keep well away!
Keep well away from a woman in early stages of pregnancy if you suspect German Measle but with Chicken Pox it's when the woman's in the late stages as it can complicate labour!

Yes he can get chicken pox regardless of having had his jabs - I don't think chicken pox is part of the immunisation jabs.

once the spots have come out then the child is no longer contagious....they are only contagious before the spots and they will have a fever...if the infected child has spots and scabs your child is safe
