You need to get her some counselling. You guys at home cannot cope with what she is dealing with and apparently neither can she. Plus it's not just the loss of your dad, it's also the usual teenage girl issues, and that's a whole lot of stuff. She needs to speak with a professional to help her cope with all that she's trying to deal with, and the sooner the better. Kudos to you for caring about your kid sister so much. She's lucky to have you :-)

At her age alot is going on in her little mind. She needs some conselling on this and a bit of straight talk about her behavior. She will grow up and most likely out of this phase, but see what a professional has to say. You sound like a wonderful brother to even care about her at this age. Puberty has a lot to do with this also.

Definitely find someone for your sister to talk to who she likes and trusts. This might be a cool teacher, hooking her up with a Big Brother/Sister mentor, etc. She should be involved in as many school activities that you can get her to commit to, so that she has more going on then just her "dreaded" home life. Gotta find other places to divert her attention/interest so that making trouble doesn't become her specialty.

I don't know if u can afford it and i am not a avid fan of this but maybe your little sis needs counseling maybe all the diseases and stress is getting to her too and she is afraid of loosing everyone she loves so she is shutting out the world and her problems with it. Good luck and i hope this helps!

I know how you feel and where you are coming from and the way to solve your sister problem is to sit her down and explain to her how you are causing a big hole in our family by your crying and confusion of the brain. You can give her a clue in her head that everything isn't fair. It's very difficult!

She needs counseling, whether from a professional or her piers, teachers, etc. She is probably feeling guilty since it sounds like she likes your step dad. She needs help to realize that her feelings are okay but the way she is dealing with them is not.

Sit her down and have a chat with her. She has finally realized that her dad is dead, make her realize that her family needs her too and that you understand that she is going through a tough time, but she needs to pull herself together.

She needs to see a counselor that deals with coping with grieving. Maybe even a psychiatrist. It would be very beneficial!
