I really don't like labels, but I never know the difference. Ok. I do not believe in God. I do not believe it is even possible. I believe that we evolved. I believe that once you're dead, that's it. Which would I be?

Atheist. Agnostics believe in God, but don't prescribe to any standing religious organizations or beliefs.

Your description suites the label Atheist. An Agnostic is someone who says they don't know one way or another if there is a God, not that they believe in a higher power but aren't religious. They are probably a bit less skeptical than you because you say that you do not believe it is even possible, Agnostics tend to say it is not possible to know which leaves some room that it is possible there is a God.

That would make you an Atheist....I'm not big on labels myself...an agnostic believes that the existence of a "god" is a possibility, but not really knowable....some morons will tell you "Agnostics 'aren't sure' what they believe, and won't make a commitment for either side." But they show their blatant ignorance and stupidity when they say such things!! :)

You are an Atheist.

Agnostic means that you believe in some kind of higher power, but you don't follow any set religion. Most people, believe it or not are Agnostic. They believe that there is a god, or something of that nature, but they don't like the closed mindedness that is religion in general.

You sound like an Atheist. Literally this means "no God"

Agnostics are not sure if there is God or not - or which God is real (Both slightly different meanings - still usually called "Agnostic") Literally this translates as "not knowing"

Hope that helps clear things up!

Atheist. Because your mind is made up that there is no God. An agnostic doubts but is open to searching. They seek proof or something else to give them a positive conviction. An atheist flat out denies the existence of a higher power...so Atheism is in a sense a religion itself, because it has definite beliefs.

You need to put one more philosophical fact in your pocket; we are incapable of knowing anything for sure because we can always be fooled. That being said, a responsible person still makes their best guess and carries on with it. Agnostics are unwilling to stand by their guess.
