In these numbers are the key to understanding how God and religion came about.

All numbering starts with 1 and moves from there.

4 is of the earth. This is because people had to be here first to dream up this crap!
6 is the demonic. This is because if you don't have a devil you don't have a religion! This is also the figure that is used to blame all of the problems in the world on!
7 is the God. This is because people need a pink monkey to beg to for all the crap they want! This is also the figure that is used to threaten others with his wrath if you do not believe exactly as THEY SAY!

Simon's right about numbers in the original Hebrew also being letters, but there's more. The number 7 is associated with completeness in more than just the Hebrew Bible. It's also found in Hinduism, I believe, and several other ancient sources. We supposedly have 7 energy centers along our spines, as well. The number seems to have a similar meaning in many cultures.
6 and 4 I haven't read much about.

Well, Mae, in the original language, Hebrew, those are actually letters and words. A combination of letters, actually, that look similar to the English numerals..

I think that's "ilillah" for 7 and "laillah" for 6.

The Arabic 786 reads "Laillah il illah" which is why the Muslims like this number and consider it auspicious. Please read right ot left, though.

My Hebrew and Arabic are quite rusty, nowadays, though; but 7 means "God", while 6 means "No God", in the Semitic languages. 4 with a bit of the front point of the number facing down is the letter or name for "World".

Merry Christmas!!!!

Actually, 6 is considered to be the number of man. It isn-t demonic, only when you are man-centred, you don't make the grade.
It may have something to do with the seven days of creation:
Man was created on the sixth day; the seventh day everything was complete. (perfection and completeness are synonyms. That is why it is also called the number of perfection).
It is true that 4 and 10 also have a special significance, but I'm not sure why.

step on a crack, the number 13... there is no such thing as a demonic number although I am told the number 3 was oft times considered special as in the 'trinity'. I have also heard that prior to that 3 was evil for some reason so kings might smite a musician who played 'triads' which is from whence came the gregorian style chants and motets which feature the number 2.

This stuff is CRAZY... INSANE and has nothing to do with spirituality and everything to do with religion...yuck.

Nobody really understands why 7 is the number of heavenly completeness. Six is regarded as demonic, according to scholars, because it was a number printed on Roman coins during the bible times and Romans were thought of as the ultimate enemy.

Because before Martin Luther nailed his protest up to the church door in the 16th century the church was absolute, and even after that people still had a totally irrational fear of some idea of men and the unkown.

7 is when God had finished making the earth, and he rested on that day (in the Bible, most things are numbered in 7's)...6 is the day that man was created, it's not demonic, but means the number of man(kind)

In the Bible, there is a repeated reference to the things of God being 7.. for instance, God created the earth in 7 days. In Revelation, it says that the number of the beast (anti-christ) is 666. Hope this helps.
