i think its something over 5 hours. all my flights from UK to the US are always classified as long haul and they range in time from 7 hours up to 9. Long haul doesnt make the difference in the tax you pay, the taxes are based on what country the plane is leaving from and going to. Different countries have different costs also depends on the season you are travelling

placed on unfastened ethereal clothing and soft footwear. On maximum long haul flights you will settle for commute socks to avert possibility of clots. they provide the effect of being like elementary socks so which you would be able to placed on them in case you like. i might advise you to get a physically powerful relax previously the flight and don't consume something heavy. Drink loads of fluids previously and via the flight and pass approximately as much as you may or a minimum of pass your ft as they swell alot. I even have given you those suggestion to maintain jetlag to a minimum. attempt to avert alcohol previously and via the flight additionally or a minimum of save your intake to a minimum. stable success. No harm having a sweater with you interior the airplane because of fact the blankets are very easy. loads of the time the airplane is somewhat heat extremely if somewhat finished, yet at circumstances it may get cool.

Thats not really what classifies how much you pay.
Every airport charges different amounts in taxes, and depending where you are going, the more youll pay. In the US, airlines pay more for landing fees in big airports like Chicago-OHare, New York La-Guardia, and Los Angeles.
This is why airlines like Southwest and JetBlue to some degree fly to smaller airports within a city boundary (Houston Hobby vs Houston Intercontinental).
European airport taxes are rediculously high and always will be. Air fares for those countries vary drastically depending on the season and so, to answer your question, it really depends more so when you travel and where you travel instead of how long you travel.
Ciao
