Can you be more specific. Do you mean like what is called a Foward Operating Base (FOB) in Iraq?

A typical US Army FOB will have either tents, modular trailers, or maybe hard buildings to live in. They will likely have shower trailers and latrine trailers. There will be a mess hall (Dining facility of DFAC) that is probably run by a contractor. There may/maynot be a contract laundry. There is probably a small post exchange that may be trailer mounted or in some facility. There is probably a Morale, Welfare, & Recreation tent (MWR) where troops can do a variety of things from playing table games to watching TV, to calling home. That tent may include some gym equipment or that equipment may be in a separate tent. They will al have a maintenance area, an ammo storage area, and the other common logistics functions. Some FOBs are better equipped than others.

If it is a Marine FOB then it probably includes a foxhole, lean-to, and a case of MREs. If they are really soft Marines then maybe they have hot chow a couple times a week.

I do not really know how to answer this, as an ex member of the Services I feel that there may be 2 reasons for this question. 1. If you were truly interested i.e. because you are thinking of a career in the Armed Forces - Go to a Careers Information Office (CIO), there is one in each Major Town or City in the UK (look in the Yellow Pages) 2. Or you could be a Spy with little or no knowledge of the British or American Military and would be a suspect as soon as you posed your questions to a CIO member. Unfortunately until recent times there was always a member of the family who you could turn to, but due to the cut-backs this last 20 years or so there are only a few with this knowledge. After looking at the other answers, others are more trusting and answered you within their own knowledge base. Remember an Army Barracks is different to an RAF Station and different still to a Naval Base.

That would depend on where the camp is. When my son was in Iraq they showed up there before any facilities existed. They slept in holes that were dug in the sand. The place was crawling with sand fleas and scorpions. There were no bathrooms so they had to use the outdoors and burn the waste before leaving the spot. No roof over their heads, no toilet paper, no bottled water, nothing but rations to eat, not a blanket or pillow to rest on. They went two weeks at a time without bathing and then was only able to wash up with a rag and some cold water. Sometimes it can be pretty tough just trying to find the basics.
