I met this guy months ago. We got on well and we both found each other attractive. He chased me at first and then things of an intimate nature started to happen between us. One evening my mate asked him what his type was and all he said was 'tall and nice eyes' which is what I am. We spent lots of nice times together. Throughout the whole time I knew he had an ex that he was never over as he mentioned her now and again. So the time came when I put him to the test and asked him if he would go out with me. He said we would only be friends, I wasn't his type and we didn't have the same interests.
How can someone go from chasing you, fancying you, enjoying each others company and doing intimate stuff with you to saying you aren't their type? Was he just having his cake and eating it and using 'not my type' as an excuse to get out of the situation? And of course I won't scrub up to his ex.

sounds like he was just playing with you im afraid.

alot of blokes like the chase and then as soon as its over .... ie got the girl intimately they are bored and move on to the next one.

just be more aware that some people can lie and cheat to get what they want..

a wolf in sheeps clothing if you like

time to find someone genuine (though easier said than done right?? lol)

good luck

and just forget about him

Maybe he was just looking for someone to fill in the blank until he worked things out with his ex. Then again, maybe he did like you and was wanting to take things at his own pace. Maybe he liked all the things you did together but when you asked him out maybe he panicked. Have you tried to talk to him since or is he completely out of the picture? If you want to be with this guy I say talk to him and see if you can take things slow until he is ready for you to be a girlfriend.

You're exactly right, he was just using that as an excuse. I think he still has feelings for ex and for whatever reason that they weren't together at the time, he opted for you. Truly, I think you were just a "substitute" for him and that's wrong. Sad to say, but he just used you to get off (u know what I mean) to pass the time. Move on girl, just move on.

He still cares about his ex a great deal. But the hurtful truth is it's a cycle of life... We always end up loving someone more than they love us or loving them while they loving someone else. Don't get your self caught up in a game like this. It's tiresome and it takes from who you are. TRUST ME.

Blokes are weird aren't they! Look darlin' don't take it personal, he's probably not looking for anything serious and just wanted a bit of fun. Its not nice of him to have lead you on like that though, suppose he thought you wanted similar, Hes probably scared of commitment, look what happened last time........

The correct way is "eat your cake and have it too". Ok, I think he just changed his mind, for what ever reason and he gave you a reason, but maybe not the truthful one.
