I would say logic is wasted on the hardcore nuts, but not necesarily on "the nuts on the verge" for whom there may be hope.

I never liked nuts in the first place and he process of cracking nuts is just the same.
No one ever influences people without some sort of experience.

Its hard to understand what others believe.
As non-believers we have the toughest time in a society that claims "Seperation of church and state"...yeah right, it says "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our currencey, what a joke!
You must remember that in USA, Athiests are the minority.
Think about this, If believers are wrong, whatever, we die, thats it.
If we're wrong, however, we BURN FOR ETERNITY.
Its clearly not even, so you should give up trying to change people. Just know the nuts will roast on the same fire as us...:P

Much is wasted. There are quite a few open minded and very intelligent religious people on here. Then there are the brainwashed fundamentalists as well. Take the good with the bad.

I prefer to call myself an agnostic, but as far as cracking nuts, as long as they try to crack my nuts, I'm gonna try to crack theirs.

Yeah it's worth it. However, when you become completely sure about your views, it will no longer be worth it to you to try and change others or prove your views. You'll just know, and feel good about being what you are. As I know and feel good about my beliefs, scientific, spiritual, or otherwise.

Meh. You learn a lot in the process. In the end, that's all that matters.
You can't change the world, but at least you can embarrass the guilty.
