if you look around in walmart with the cat supplies they have these things (dont remember what they are called) but they just snap on the litter box, it makes the litter box higher, but the cat can still get in with no problems. if you do look youll know what im talking about. they are usually with the litter boxes, i use it and it works great. this is coming form somebody with 9 cats

I've seen them dome shaped things sold for litter boxes, that effectively make the litter box look like small cat carrier.
It does a great job of keeping the litter from being kicked around onto your floor.

Hello, you can always purchase a litter box that has a top and a door.
My cat is now 13 yrs old, and for about 11 years, he had the door on, and finally the door broke, so I removed it, and it was hilarious. I was watching him one day after the door was removed, and here he was, all 4 feet huddled together outside of the litter box, and just his rear end in the box....I never laughed so hard.
The enclosed litter box will cost a little more at first, but they last forever, like my cat (Tux) has had the same litter box now for over 13 years, great investment.

You can buy an attatchment to go around the rim of the litter box. It makes the sides higher, but it helps keep the litter inside. Or you could get a covered litter box.

So covered litter box = cat carrier and that is a no go...got it. I actually keep my litter box in an empty cabinet located in our laundry room...provides cover, but not a tight enclosure. Here is my method...take two large door mats- the kind that have plastic turf-like texture (good for catching stray litter). Put one large mat in the empty cabinet, then put the litter box in one corner of the cabinet on the mat. The cat has to walk into the cabinet, onto the mat and then in the litter box. You shut the door directly in front of the box completely and leave the other cabinet door 1/3 open. I take the second mat and put it right outside the open cabinet door to catch any extra stray litter. It is really easy to clean as well...I gotta method for that too if you need it!!:)) Good luck, AMY

I would suggest getting the kind of box that has a hood or other cover over it; then she can kick all she wants and very little will escape. You might also want to get a larger litter box.

One of my friends, who is a long time cat owner, said they finally bought a covered litter box and it remedied the situation.
