Hmm...I think that's one of those things where it depends on my mood. Spaghetti is very comforting and homey. I like it when I have a cold too. Good comfort food. Pizza's more when I'm out with friends and having a good time.

I am conflicted on this one. So many people put meat in their pasta sauces and on their pizzas. If I'm out and about, I go for a vegetarian pizza. I am very picky when it comes to meat products and the wrong brand of pepperoni or some slightly 'off' sausage can put me off meat for the next year. If I am making it at home, I go for the pasta simply because it's slightly faster.

Though I will have to say that my pizza dough recipe makes a large amount in a very short time. I could freeze half for later use and have a pizza in the oven in the time it took the pasta water to boil. I use an herbed ricotta rather than pizza sauce when I make pizza at home, so there's no cooking down of tomatoes involved in the saucing process.

I'll have to do both at once some day, or time the processes and see which one really is faster.

French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

red pepper finely chopped
green pepper finely chopped
yellow pepper finely chopped
onion finely chopped
mushrooms thiny sliced
sun-dried tomato paste
pizza sauce
vegetable oil
french baton

Slice a French Baton in half and slice each half through long ways.

Preheat an oven to 200 degrees.

Fry the onion on some oil until soft. Then make up the pizza. Firstly spread it with sun-dried tomato paste. Then add a layer of pizza sauce (I often use pasta sauce instead).

Sprinkle some onion on top. Then spread over some mushrooms. Sprinkle over some peppers.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

While I am normally a pizza advocate, I'm going to have to throw myself behind spaghetti on this one. Here is why: Time.

Making pizza takes hours, or at least an hour of intense work. You have to make the dough, grate the cheese, and spread the sauce. While spaghetti takes 5 minutes, drop your pasta in boiling water, strain, then open a can of Prego, pour it on, eat.

Also, as a second point: cost.
Pizza ingredients are expensive, and even more so if you have one delivered. Expect to spend $10.00 - $20.00 on a pizza, while pasta is cheap, you can feed a small family or two college students for $2.00!

They both have their charms, but pizza is better because it is portable, there's a wider variety of toppings available (have you ever heard of hawaiian spaghetti?), it comes in its own box, and it makes you feel like a delightful slob whenever you eat it. Pizza is comfort food, nutrition, and entertainment rolled into one. Spaghetti is great, but it's merely a meal. Although the twirling on the fork can be fun . . . and Bob's Big Boy does have great Chili Spaghetti. But I still vote for pizza.

Spaghetti is more healthy. Pizza tends to be more greasy. Runners live on pasta, lots of carbs. Plus you can play with your spaghetti, season it the way you want to.

Pizza....I could live without spaghetti, but only if I had to. I don't even want to imagine a world without pizza.

I prefer pizza because you have a wider range of toppings, plus the cheeze is delicious.

Spaghetti is good too, but usually I limit my topping to meatballs or just ground beef with sauce. My cheese topping is parmesan.

If i make the pizza at home, it can be good but spagetti is sooooo mouth wateringgggg. I have fun in the kitchen making it, sometimes the traditional tomato one but lately I've been makin afredo pasta, my hubby luvs it too.
