Its weird, I almost always feel so happy in my dreams that when I wake up I feel dissapointed that I am back to reality, does anyone else ever feel like this? Why am I happier when I am sleeping than when I am awake?

Depression makes you like that. I was like that for a few years when my life wasn't going too well. Sleeping seemed to be better that being awake.
Make small positive changes like going for a walk or going out for coffee with an old friend. Treat yourself to something you really want, without breaking the bank.
I had to change my total lifestyle to pull myself out of it. I still get days here and there, but overall its going a lot better.

Get down to the root of your unhappiness. If you can do something about it....DO IT!!!!

I feel like this every morning - I want my dreams to last as long as possible! I do agree, that for me, it is probably because I suffer from depression and sleep takes me away from feeling crappy. I have lots of dreams where I am challenged with something and I come out in complete control of everything. If only real life were that way!! My doctor has told me that it is common to feel depressed in the morning when waking up. I don't think the dreams are the problem, just the living with depression part. I usually remember my dreams (at least the really cool ones) so they actually help me feel better when I think about them. It is hard getting up in the morning, though.
