I have a friend from another state and when he's in town he calls just to talk and keeps in touch with me throughout the day and eventually comes over to my place. Of course we end up "hooking up" and he will spend the night. Our conversations are great and sometimes he will come over and we will not have sex. When he gets back home he will only text me and it's not that often and he doesn't bother to call. I understand that we're just friends,but an occasional call will not hurt, especially when he calls all the time when he's in town. What's up with that? Is he just using me?

Anyways, it sounds like he is just using you. But from your post it seems like you never brought it up to him, so he might not think you mind. Basically it's casual sex, no strings attached. That's probably how he views it, if you have a problem with it you have to talk to him about it.

Sounds like you are his bootie call. I bet he has a girl in the other place. I hate that for you, but you know there is only one way to find out really. You need to just come right out and ask him. If he decides that you are not that important to give an answer to then move on with your life, and when he comes back in town and gives you a shout then if you feel like just sex then let him come over but tell him that he can't stay the night. After sex, get up and straighten up and then say I don't think you should spend the night and when he says why say I just don't think its a good idea. It will get him wondering if there is another or he will not care and then you'll know for sure he just ain't that into you.

I would define a booty call as: you get the call (usually late at night) you hook up, when the deed is done then he/she leaves until the next time.
If that definition works for you in this case then I guess its a booty call.
But from what I read in your details, you are one of the "girls in every port" kind of relationship. When he's in your town, then you are his girl while he's there. When he leaves then he's with whoever is in the next town.

Of course it sounds like a botty call, you have nothing to say to one another the entire time he is away and then when he comes in town he makes time to have sex with you. Yes, you are his booty call or friend with benefits. If you don't want to be used, then stop allowing yourself to be used. It's that simple.
I am constantly amazed at the number of women who put out for guys without any boyfriend-girlfriend relationship discussed between them and then wonder if they are just the guy's booty call. If you give it away cheap, then the guy isn't going to value you. My grandmother was right when she told me 30 years ago, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

pretty much just using you. Long distance relationships dont work out to well so if your having fun when hes in town then have your fun. dont read too much into it. If your catching feelings then be str8 with him. tell hinm you want something more.
