yes well my prize cocks eye is weeping and it looks very sore, there is a yellow discharge coming from one corner of the eye. i've tried washing it out with tcp but it hasnt fixed it. im thinking infection perhaps or some other damage inflicted by a bird.
suggestions welcome. you may now answer. coherently

47 years breeding terence and my cure never fails.
a tea bag in boiling water not to strong let it cool and apply daily using a cotton wool bud,7 days cured.

Hopefully you show him and not fight him. with that being said, it does sound like he's injured his eye and it got infected. Get him into a Certified Avian or an exotic Animal Vet right away. This infection can spread very quickly and he could die as a result.

Bathe the eye with a warm used tea bag. Or buy golden eye ointment. Or the vet

First if he is that prized a trip to the vet instead of yapping on your computer would be best.
You didn't say what type of bird? And the type of weeping clear? Puss?

I am not lying to you now, in S-Africa the bantu's rub black shoe-polish around the chickens eyes. They reckon it prevents them from getting sores. Check it out.
