"Well, I tried. I feel bad that you'll burn in hell. My job is done. But if you change your mind"

This is typical of the kind of emails I get from Christians.

See, it's not just us atheists. You do it too.

Well it is a interesting question. Christianity is a history contained in many books, interpreted and compiled into two books, the old and new testaments. It is not that the theology is hateful and sickening in so much as mans history is has been and continues to be sickening and hateful. It is one thing to understand the word. It is quite another to live it.

I am a Christian and I would never tell someone that they will burn in Hell. True, that if they don't change they won't get into Heaven, but Christians should try to help those people and pray for them. I honestly can't stand Christian that use their position in their Church as a superior rank. I can't stand Christians that think they are better than those that haven't found God yet. A good Christian (which I someday one to be) should use their relationship with God to help others find Him, not to make others feel bad.

There are good and bad in everything in life. Pros and Cons. Follow what you feel is correct and do not let Deceivers mislead you. Many say the are a Christian, but, that not what their job is, they want to lead you away from God. God does not twist a person's arm to believe, He wants a person to believe from the Heart and in their own time. I too hate when a Christian tells a person they going to Hell. Well, Hell, where was the Christian headed before they found Jesus?

Many Christians realize that it is Satanic to condemn someone to Hell.

By the way, I have gotten close minded emails and answers from Muslims as well. You don't actually think you can make such an inference, and claim Muslims are so different.

It's amazing how we don't just drop everything to be like them. I mean, they're obviously preaching love and positivity. And we should aspire to have those same values.

I've run into a lot of those. Probably more of them then reasonable or kind xians. Which is sad, considering that it's SUPPOSED to be a religion based on forgiveness and kindness. Because of people like that, I have a very bad association with religion. Especially Christianity. Even if I did believe in their god, I'd certainly never follow their religion.

It's sad that extremists in all religions give their religion a bad name. That was not oiginally the concept of religion, but you know what happens when people feel better than others.
Last I checked christianity was not a religion of judgment and hate. These hateful people are not speaking on behalf of God or even other Christians.

If that is the typical email you get from a Christian, then I am sorry. Should be more like, this is what I'm saying... Think about it, your choice etc... If you don;t, no problem, just voicing my opinion too..

i have incidents like that. though.. i believe in Jesus. Christians are humans, ok.. i dont consider myself a "christian" i consider myself a believer. i know that sounds dumb. i can honestly promise u though that not all Christians are like that.

a person once told me that i was going to go to hell because i didn't go to the same church they did. they are not Christians, they are liars and hypocrites. luckily i found a church that excepts me as i am and just happy that im coming.

Yes it is. If these Christians were right, then I would prefer to go to hell, so I could spend eternity with good people and not with them.
