By realizing that you, the 'I', is an illusion. How can an illusion have a point of view?

One should never forget one's own point of view. However, one should always be ready and willing to set it aside for the sake of intellectual discourse. Look through my answers. I've had people believe I'm a devout Roman Catholic, Born-Again Christian, Orthodox Jew, Reform Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Satanist, and a few variations on the 'pagan' theme. My primary view though is atheistic. That doesn't mean I cannot adopt other views as my own to try to answer a question in the context it is asked.

If a muslim says, "Hey, I really am worried -- is haraam?" it does no good to thump the Bible at him/her or to tell him/her that Allah is not real. The answer is dependant on the interpretation of the Koran. Any answer not coming from that viewpoint cannot answer the question.

This is just one example (and it's one of my earliest answers, like one of my day 2 or 3 questions).

What is your point of view? In regards to belief in Jesus / God? You do not believe? To forget your own point of view, open up your mind to what is unimaginable yet realistic, seek the truth and you will find it. God loves you!:)

what for?
if you don`t want a point of view...then don`t ponder on a question.
if you put on pressure in forgetting what you have pointed out before...just forget it. nobody gives a damn. thinking, pondering & having point of view or choices to make are just part of daily life activities like in languages.
Don`t cry on spilled milk! It`s just natural to have mistakes in life.

Who is asking you to forget it ....and why?
Would it be perhaps your first thought has proven not in harmony with facts?
In that case you should WANT to put it aside.
