Are they just too lazy to get up and go to the restroom? I find this to be both rude and discusting!! Would it be wrong for me to say something to the person that does this? I mean, how can I actually enjoy or even eat my food when this is going on at the table next to me?!

I agree! They SHOULD go into the restroom to blow their nose, just as the SHOULD step outside or into the foyer to talk on their cell phone. If it were me, I would mention it to the manager quietly & discreetly.

I have to agree there is no reason why someone should have to blow their nose at the table
If it is someone at a table nearby ask to be re seated saying something to the person would probably be inappropriate

I don't think it's that bad- IF, they are discreet and turn their face to the side. Yeah, the people who do a full out, here come the honking geese sound nose blow are pigs, but a discreet, minor incident is acceptable in my eyes. And lets face it- people are people- and if you approached people who were pigs, slobs, or just plain annoying, anytime something happened, you'd have no time to live your life. So I say, no, don't approach them and develop a stronger constitution.

I too think it is very rude and disgusting !!
Especially at a buffet style place where they're gonna get up and touch all of the serving utensils !!
They should always go to the restroom to do their business AND wash their hands afterward.

Because they are nasty! I hate when people do this. It makes me sick! I'm sure it would be rude to say something to them but, I also think it is rude for them to blow their noses where everyone is eating!

I often wondered this myself many times, but I want to know not just at resturants anywhere, I think its rude to blow your nose anywhere but in private places (like your car, restroom, in your office, etc..) anywhere others dont have to hear it.

If someone had allergies, would you expect them to get up and go to the bathroom every few minutes?
It can be done without being rude. Hawking something up and spitting would be more disturbing.

People blow their noses because they are trying to expel a booger normally. Do you ever use your cell phone in a restaurant? I find that more disturbing than some guy blowing his nose. I mean, come on, he could have farted.
