Most of everybody we kill is basically some form of terrorist or criminal killing for pay.

In reality very few Iraqi civilians are killed by US troops. Every time this occurs it makes newspaper headlines. This both creates the perception that we are killing large numbers and creates the opportunity for somebody to spend an hour reviewing Google news and count for themselves. (And just how many people are going to do this?).

It would be better if the people counting the civilian dead in Iraq did two things:
1) Stop listing Iraqi military and enemy dead as 'civilian' dead.
2) Start identifying who killed the civilians.

Since most of the people keeping 'body counts' have an anti-war agenda - I do not expect this to occur.

Insurgent is someone rebelling against legal authority. Since there are so many different types of groups, i.e. Shiite and Sunni militias, Al Quaida, criminal gangs all fighting the new government and Coalition forces for simplicities sake the just call them all "insurgents."

An insurgent is a pc term for a terrorist.

And yes, everyone who we are fighting in Iraq is a terrorist. There may be some small exceptions, but that is only because the terrorists dress like civilians, and the military has a hard time telling them apart.

All of these people are terrorists, who would otherwise be planning attacks on US soil.
