My Idea for The Cure For Cancer, Tell Me what you think?

My idea to cure cancer is to give the worlds top ten scienticsts cancer. I can garantee that in three months you'd have 20 different cures!

Wouldn't work.

1) Each cancer is different. So if you give the 10 scientists 1 kind of cancer using, say, inoculated tumour cells, all they have to do is work on these cells. They will have a cure working against those, but not against yours.

2) They will perfectly know that even thought they find a cure, they wont be able to use it in time to save themselves, since it takes on average 5 to 10 years for FDA to approve a new drug or treatment from the first discovery.

3) And frankly, scientists are just humans, and they will do what other people do when they learn they have cancer : spend time with their families.

You would more likely get results if you gave cancer to ten of the world's richest men. They would have the resources to investigate the matter thorougly.
You might like to look at "How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine" by Michael Murray. It is a very interesting book with lots of good ideas.

Scientists will only try to find a 'cure' for cancer using chemicals, which in fact is one of the causes of cancer in the first place. In order to prevent cancer, and maybe get rid of it, a person would have to have a healthy diet. Get rid of all the fast food and artificial food. The American Cancer Society has said that the best way to prevent cancer is to eat 9 to 13 servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day. With the nutrients from those foods, the body will be able to heal itself better. Quit poisoning your body with chemicals and artificial sweeteners found fast food and anything that was processed and start eating healthier. That's the only way that the body can heal itself.

If we want cures then we need to invest public money in finding them. Public money got us to the moon at the end of a ten year project. It gave us a nuclear bomb at the end of a five year project. Private companies are not interested in making cures because there is very little money to be made in cures. That's why private companies invest in drugs that suppress a disease over many years requiring many repeat doses...like anti-retrovirals for AIDS. These are profitable. Successful profitable drugs companies do not make many cures.
I used to work for a leading drugs company and I'm telling you the truth they'd rather not have publicly discussed.

Giving someone cancer is not a nice thing to do, but I agree If it happened they would find a cure quickly. The question though--is would they share it?

We should work on quality of life before thinking about curing a nasty disease,that if cured,would greatly increase an old age population.I don't want to live til 90 and live like a vegetable or close to it.

Alot of scientists die of cancers so that will not work.
Foods that prevent cancers will work, like the produce of the grocery store is your real cure.

One of the top researchers died last year from cancer. By giving it to them all you might do is kill the person who might have found it one day.
