Actually even if you marry a woman that has a child, you are not required to pay child support. If you adopt the child while married (in court, signed papers), then you're obligated to pay child support.

If the child is yours, then yes, you'll be obligated to pay child support, married or not.

Your question is confusing. If you have a child and the court says you have to pay child support, then yes, you have to pay child support.
It upsets me when ex-husbands are pissed about paying child support to their ex-wife when the ex-wife has custody. It is CHILD support. If you were man enough to create a child then you are man enough to support that child.

if you're dating someone that has a child support obligation, you are NOT obligated to help pay. even if you were to marry this person with a child support obligation, it is HIS obligation to pay for his child support; not yours. the court order is in HIS name. do not be suckered into paying for something that isn't your obligation.

Are you asking can you OR do you have to?

Is it a kid (goat), ant, or child you are talking about?

Help pay? or pay?

if the kid isn't yours of course you don't have to pay child support. and just because you have a bf it doesn't matter. it only matters if you are married.

if you are dating someone with a kid and all you are worried about is the child support money coming out of your pocket, go find a guy without kids....
