Well, did u know that virtually EVERY other religion EXCEPT Christianity, Muslims & Judaism accept a female deity? Interesting huh? Well, this question is very interesting because I really do wonder. My whole life I have viewed God as a male, nothing & noone could alter that. Jesus & GOD are who I have praying to my whole life, but one day I was reading a book (just this year actually) that for the first time in my whole 26 year old life mentions a mother God. My eyebrows went up! My brain almost caved in trying to wrap my precious neurons around it. It was a book by a world renowned psychic named Sylvia Browne, who believes in a mother God. That She is a more integral part of our lives as the Father God is more of an authority in His High Place in Heaven. I don't know for sure (who can really?), but if you do some research on other religions, it doesn't sound to far off base that there is a male & female prospect of the source of life.

But just to note: Mark 10 :27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God ALL things are possible.

AND JUST TO GIVE YOU A (conspiratorial & controversial) note from Sylvia,
in Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, & over every creeping thing that creepeth on the earth.
Interesting huh? Did the men of those times who compiled the bible then make a mistake? Did they not want us to know there was a female God? Why you wonder? Back then, woman were to be submissive, slaves, baby machines, which is fine, but there had to be a few strong minded women who would have taken over some things if they had gotten wind of it, but it wasn't the path. Those discoveries are still to come, think of the power women have TODAY!:o]

well, can't blame what you believe in, because that's what was exposed to you.
In my comparative analysis of religions, i realized God is all powerful, can do whatever He like, in whatever form. But He is also a Just God, will not do anything to create confusions among the believers.
So, if hever He will appear in the flesh, in what form would that be, a human, an animal, tree, heavenly bodies or etc? If ever a human, a man or a woman or a gay or a hermaprodite? If ever a person, why in a white race, not black, yellow, brown, red or even blue? Then why chose a hebrew, not an egyptian, or an aztec or chinese?Surely, God can appear in flesh and dwell among us, but why with racial discrimination? Will he be good looking, pretty or ugly?

The bible tells us God is spirit, but the flesh part of him did manifest as a male in Jesus. God is refered to as he, because he is like a Father to us.

God is spirit. No body.

The fact that "He manifested himself" (right there you are dangerously close to Sabellianism ("modalism") - a heresy condemned by the Church)....as Jesus (a man, no doubt) - is that through the Incarnation through Jesus and The Blessed Virgin Mary (from whom the Lord got His humanity) - BOTH sexes can participate in the Glory that is "the Word made flesh".

Both. A genderless Godhead divided itself into a Goddess and a God, who created everything. Therefore, there is masculine and feminine in all things, maintaining a balance.

Let's see how many thumbs down I get for this. Whtknt already has two.

I don't believe in any gods and so I would say neither.

However, if you are talking about the god in the Christian religion, I would have to say that he is portrayed as male. Adam was created in god's image and then Eve was made later. Therefore, the Christian god must be male, without any arguement.

God is our "father". Jesus is God, in the new testament there were writings describing Jesus naked. God is everything so i guess you could say he also has the heart of a female.

You've never read Galations 3:28, have you?
It says in heaven there are no males or females.
Sexual demarcation is an earthly thing only.
