If you have a bf who says he cares so much for you and is in another state and holds a very important position with a company and tells you he will call and then all of a sudden he doesnt and hasnt for 5 days and you are the one who has called him, what would you think about that? I mean I know he doesnt cheat or anything like that, but he never seems to do what he says he will do. Opinions please and guys, why is it that this happens and we girls feel as though we are not important enough? I would prefer an opinion from an audience who is mature.

Okay so Im being asked how I know he doesnt cheat. Ive been with him for 4 yrs and we have a trip planned for New York (tickets and all already bought) and I know his character. He works alot (CFO of a law institute) and he says he is just tired from working late. I know that he doesnt cheat, he has morals and he just would never resort to that. He would tell me it was over rather than do that. I just think that perhaps Im not as important to him anymore. Although he says I will relocate to be with him this May I am unsure what the deal is, we havent fought or anything. Could I just be reading to much into it?

I wouldn't say your reading to much into it. His lack of follow through hurt your feelings.

Just remember men view things such as phone calls and courtesy as minor nuisances.

I would think he's busy and just didn't feel upto making the phone call, but I would also be doing the same thing your doing-fretting about why he's not called yet.

I suggest talking to him and mentioning your feel unimportant to him and give him your reasons. Watch his reactions and talk through this. He sounds like a great guy.

Well to quote Greg Bernhedt, "He is just not that into you" If he wanted to call he would, and there are not good excuses...ok maybe a death in the family or family member or he is very sick...But other than that, there are no excuses. And I would not call him and, if he lives in another state, how can you be sure, other than his word that he does not cheat? This is from my personal experince.

I would think that he is being a very selfish man. You should stop calling him and make him call you. All that you are doing is showing him that you will be there for him even when he is not there for you. That is not what a relationship should be based on! If you stop calling, and he really does care, he'll start calling you.

Unless he is in jail or the morgue there is no reason for him not to call you. I would re-think this relationship. It sounds as though he doesn't respect you enough.

Honestly, it sounds like he may have found someone else and just doesn't know how or want to tell you about it.
