Well you can't go wrong with jewlery. Get her a ring that says mom on it or a famliy tree necklace with her and her children and grandchildrens birthstones in it. Otherwise look through her house is anything going bad like the phone, tv, VCR anything like that that could use a upgrade? Does she read books chicken noodle soup for the mothers soul are always touching and fun to read.

Ladies that age like to keep in touch with friends and family members. A gift of a box of pretty cards for various occasions, such as birthdays, get well cards, sympathy cards, etc., together with a book of stamps and maybe a nice pen would be a thoughtful gift.

If she likes photo albums try scrapbooking. Very personal and will enjoy it all year around. Make her a fav dinner and spend time with her. If you have kids have them make something for her. Personal gifts are always smile bringers, even if the person doesnt want anything.

Why not take her out and spend time with her. Take her to her favorite restaurant. Spend time with her. Do a generations photo. Get your mom, the grand kids, great grand kids, etc. together and do one big family photo.

you will possibly be able to think of it sucks, yet i might take her to a play or something...possibly a action picture. except she completely hates that form of stuff. she would be waiting to love the time spent with you no longer to point you taking her someplace. mothers remember that form of stuff perpetually. right here in Atlanta i might take my mom to the Fox for a play, or the severe Museum to determine artwork. she would be waiting to think of spending time with you is a lot extra valuable than something which will wreck ultimately...

Get her an Amarillas, oldy people love them. My 84 year old next door neighbour gets me one every year lol. It gives her great satisfaction to see the outcome of how many flowers it gets on it. And she loves it if hers gets more flowers than mine. You could get your self one as well and compare plants as they come through.

Give her the gift of Merry Maids for one year. That is housework she won't have to worry about. At her age she shouldn't need to.
