Do Muslims have a sense of fun? Answers please without quoting from the Quran...?

I only ask because, if they have, it is a little under-represented, and I would like to know more.

Boshhhhhh (your name speaks volumes) I was making an honest enquiry. Don't be so touchy. I'm not telling you what fun is - I'm asking. Surely it's different for everyone? And the pregnant daughter thing - sheesh, grow up. OK we have liberal societies, but we can cope. it's called freedom.

Yes, they do! My husbands sense of humor is one of the things I love the most about him. I am American born n raised but he n I share the same quirky, pun-filled kind of humor. We joke n tease n laugh constantly. Don't b reluctant to befriend anyone from a different culture, it can b so enlightening!

How do you quote a sense of fun from the Quran? Hahaha... It's a holy book, not a comic book. I don't think there's a mention of fun in the Bible too because that is not its purpose.

Of course us 1300 million Muslims have fun. We have fun all day long. Even the Prophet Muhammad made jokes.

One story goes like this:

One day, an old women came to the Prophet Muhammad and asked him, "O Prophet of God, will an old woman like me enter Paradise?"

So the Prophet said, "Old people will not enter Paradise."

Hearing that, the woman suddenly felt sad and tears began to fill her eyes.

The Prophet saw this, and continued by saying, "Dear woman, old people do not enter Paradise, because in Paradise everyone is young again."

And the woman smiled.

i'm muslim, sure, we can have fun. as long as it is not against islam, dont insult or hurt people, animals,nature. But to clarify, what kind of fun do you mean anyway, philandering, alcohols, gambling, extortions? Islam does not allow that, it's really hard not to quote from the scriptures since islam for muslims is not just for worshipping and praying to God, it is a way of life, it comprises all what a good person should be for a good society.

Good Muslim do not take alcohol. And do not take alcohol , doesn't mean do not have a sense of fun. For Muslim, alcohol do more harm than good thing.
Good Muslim do not gambling. because gambling did lot of damage to society than benefit.
Good Muslim do not sex out side marriage. Out side marriage , can spread the VD, damage the heredity.
Good Muslim do not involve in homo sex, drug abuser . homo sex and drug abuser activity among the factor of HIV and AID

Most of the problems of Islam have lately been brought into sharp focus by their branch known as Wahhabism.

There are many practices that they believe are contrary to Islam, such as:

* Listening to music or watching television.
* Listening to radio.
* Photographs or drawings of human beings or other living things which contain a soul.
* Praying at tombs. Praying at Mohammed's tomb is also considered "shirk" (polytheism).
* Invoking any prophet, Sufi saint, etc. other than God alone (Wahhabis say this is polytheistic).
* Celebrating annual feasts for the Mohammed or Sufi saints (see mawlid and urs).
* Wearing of charms, and believing in their healing power.
* Innovation in matters of religion (e.g. new methods of worship) - Bid‘ah.

It is time the other major religions of the world united against this common foe.

I don`t see why not!, there is a Muslim shopkeeper not far from where I live and he has a great sense of humour, and by the way I was in England very recently and there were very many Muslim shops selling Christmas trees and other Christmas fare, what do you think of that?
