IF I make them now and place them in the freezer will they still be just as good as the day they were baked? Any suggestions?

Yes, we do this every year. We layer the cookies in a big plastic container with parchment paper and a few marshmellows. The marshmellows take the moisture out of the container. Freeze them for up to 2 months. We then take them out of the freezer and decorate them with icing and sprinkles.

Why not make just the dough and freeze it til you're closer to being ready to serve? You can bake them off the night before you need them, still get that fresh baked taste, and all your "real" work was done beforehand!
