Good question. I used to get 40 -50 cards in the mail. I have recieved 2 cards this year. I have a huge family and many friends and everyone tells me they are not sending cards becuase it is expensive...not only the cards but the postage. Many are sending email cards, they are quick, easy and free.
I still send cards because it is important to me. I am traditional in my customs.

None. But I will choose special religious cards for my father and my husband's parents. They celebrate Christmas as a holy day and we will send nice cards to give them good wishes for their holiday. We don't celebrate Christmas ourselves and don't have any close friends who celebrate it as a religious holiday. If we did, we might send them special cards too.

frankly I do not like sending Christmas cards so as to make the companies money when it is getting harder to find proper cards that depict the real meaning of Christmas.

None. It's only December 8th. Anyway, most of mine are given in person. Cards don't really mean much to me. I'd rather talk to people on the phone, if I want to get in touch.

Of course, when I was married, it was more important, because it was important to her, so I did them. And if we ever had kids, of course, people would want updates on how they're doing.

But just sending cards to people you talk to anyway is rather meaningless.
