I would be worried. It could be a pinched nerve with complications.

Any condition that lasts longer than a week and causes concern ought to be checked out by a doctor. Left arm often feels funny when the heart is involved. Heart attack pain can make your left arm hurt really bad. Have it looked at and get the ticker checked for your own benefit.
Good luck. Better safe than sorry.

Yes, I would be worried. I would first ask how old the person is and was there an injury to the shoulder or neck. If not, I would go to the doctor's immediately as it could be a sign of a heart attack. But there would have to be other symtoms to determine if it would be a heart attack. It's probably a nerve acting up from a new or old injury. Just my thought and opinion.

Yes I would be worried sounds like a pre cursor to a pinched nerve in your neck, have a Doctor look at it. Also purchase a pillow, I bought a tempur pedic one and it really makes a difference. Sometimes just getting more neck support while sleeping will fix the problem. Good luck

it funny that you should ask that question. this answers will not help you but i have the same thing. the pain is running from by shoulder/peck to the top of three of my fingers. i was at the doctors for a chest infection and said to him about my arm but he past it off, he checked my chest and would of noticed if i had something wrong with heart. but my are pain is starting to get real sorry as the day goes on. i would say to your friend to get it checked but not to worry, it may be a trapped nerve or pulled muscle in peck but i am no Doctor and i am just putting up with it.

i would be more curious than worried, if you have had it for 3 weeks its not killed you already, and although it can be an early sign of ms or one of the signs of cardiac trouble it could also be one of a plethera of other things such as tendanitus, trapped nerve, muscle spasm etc. definately worth seeing a gp about but it may be worth using ibuprofen gel in meantime

I had it for about 2 weeks, I kept meaning to make a Chiropractor appt but kept putting it off. I figured something must have been pinched off. Then one day it was just gone.

Go to an emergency room imediately! This can sometimes be the sign of clogged ateries which can result in a heart attack or stroke.

Yes, as that is one of the symptoms that my dad had before he was diagnosed with MS. Suggest they go to a doctor especially if they are also having problems with their sight/balance.
