There is no god and there is no hell...

Personally I believe in a God even if there is a Hell or not. If people only believe in God because they fear a Hell in the afterlife, than they are missing the point in believing in a God in the first place. It doesn’t matter how people worship God, all world religions should be respected and all have a significant truth to what God is and how to go about worshiping him. To fear hell is irrelevant, when you think about it, people live in a Hell State already here on earth, and a lot of people don’t believe in God because they think “how can God do this to them” so which hell are people fearing Hell on earth or Hell in the afterlife? Believing in God is about believing in yourself, and when people “Fear” that is Hell, it has nothing to do with God or people’s beliefs in him.

If there was no threat against doing so, more people would in fact, study their beliefs, and scrutinize them. The fear of hell is the only thing that keeps people from doing so.

If the Bible said, "Believe in me and I'll take your soul to Heaven", people would think that was cool, but they would then look at the evidence of what the bible teaches, and then look at other religions, etc, etc. (And in doing so, they would see how silly it all really is)

But the Bible doesn't say that. The bible says "Believe in me or else!" And then it lists all the things you're not allowed to do, which includes doubting what the bible says.

That refusal to DOUBT is what has allowed this cult to enslave a good portion of mankind for the last 2000 years.

I think that if a person believes in God out of fear of hell then how strong is that self righteous, self serving persons faith?Hell isn't somewhere one goes after death but the pain, suffering, misery that God delivers us from.God simply is-believing or not believing does not change that fact.A man will not go to hell for being a certain religion,or their sexual orientation but rather it is their deeds that will determine wheather if their suffering continues after death or if God will deliver us as we grow and evolve from our lessons learnt. We are all visitors on set time,we all have problems God doesn't forsake us it's we who forsake the Divine;and for such a crime we should all go through hell as opposed to believing in God out of fear of going to hell.peace.Riz>.

Why do you phrase it as a question (a would)?

I do believe in God and have no fear of hell (hell doesn't exist).

Your question seems to assume that the faith of Christianity is largely just a guess aimed at hedging our bets.

I think I would challenge that premise. Personally, I believe because I have seen irrefutable evidence in my life that God exists and that the message He has given to man brings joy in this life and a promise of glory in the life to come. That makes me very glad and very thankful, and those are the basis of my testimony, not fear.

The belief in God is not based on fear of hell, it's based on Love. Jesus is love, so my answer is yes I would still believe in God.Hell is called hades in the bible, it does exist.

Yes I would, some people have been known to come to believe in God, because of the fear of eternal damnation, and although this is not the proper way to find God at least it is, one way.

Yes. I would believe in him even if all I was going to do was rot forever in a worm infested grave....I would not be cognizant of it so what would it matter. If life truly ends when you draw your final breath, I still have lead the best life I knew how and people who know me are better for it. The teachings of Christ are relevant to all people regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof.

All people could do with more treating people in the same fashion they wish to be treated and not judging them by what you see. A person is so much more than an outward image.
