The AE1 uses the old FD lens mount and all EOS cameras, including all of Canon's digital SLR cameras, use the newer EF lens mount. Adapter rings don't really work. Sorry!

Any EF or EF-S Canon lens will work with your Canon Rebel. Have you ever noticed that CANON is how your cameras name is spelled on your camera? If you really expect to be successful at photography, attention to detail is imperative. Not knowing that your camera is made by Canon and it not a military weapon, a cannon, shows you need to maybe take a class in photography. Your frustration level will drop and people you talk to will have a clue of what you are asking.
