I would like to talk to an optometrist about raster burn. My right eye will become extremely blood shot and red if I stare at the computer screen (I've noticed it more with LED or LCD screens) for several hours at a time. It also occurs if I've been playing a video game for several hours at a time as well.
For the most part, it's not uncomfortable or itchy, it's not dry or swollen in any way; just really, really blood shot. My left eye is usually not affected, either. The raster burn will usually disappear by the next morning, depending on how irritated it is. I've also noticed that putting Visine in my eye makes it even more red.

I guess my question is does this mean I need glasses? I have almost perfect vision (about 20/40) otherwise.
Why do some people get raster burn and others don't?
Are there any remedies for raster burn?

Any advice or information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Since your vision is only 20/40 it could be eye strain causing your problem. You could need a pair of glasses for computer use. Also, even though you say your eyes aren't dry, being on the computer for long periods of time tends to dry eyes out because of less blinking. Try to take periods throughout the day and use an eye drop (not visine) such as refresh or systane at least 4 times a day.

LOL. you're fake impact the term burning a cd. you at the instant are not meant to truly burn the cd you may have a cd burner on your laptop that copies the documents from one cd to the sparkling one in the different slot. It would not actaully burn the cd because of the fact it may do precisely the comparable component as what's taking place to you. do not complication I take issues actually plenty too.
