The Bible says rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. I've done that over and over again. I want to be happy for myself. Is that selfish?

That's not selfish at all. Help others only when you're done helping yourself. I'm with you... I just want people to be happy for or weep with me for once.

no thats not wrong at all. the bible say that God is a happy God. since we are made in his image than it is justifyable to say that he wants us tyo be happy as well. i know what you mean. i cant wait till i have something great in my life... maybe i should say someone. i am young with a great career and a awesome port of the country (west palm beach) i guess the only negatives are that my entire family lives in michigan and i dont know anyonwe here and that ive been single way too long.

When others are happy, you should feel happy as well. Since you are going by the Bible, if your desire is to glorify God and live for Him, then you will be truly happy.

good question...but no not at all..i ask myself the same thing..sometimes it does suck to always have to do things for others, to make them happy and please them u just want to stop and say "okk when can i finally do this for me?"
