March is the beginning of the Spring. That is a beautiful time, since you will see the world is gradually turning green and blooming of the flowers. Of course, it's still a little bit chilli, so you need to pack accordingly. Here is a link for the weather:

Make sure you have all the documents you need: valid passport, visa, air tickets. If you need to travel within China, make sure you have some extra locks for your check-in luggage, since in China, you can't check in your luggage if you don't lock them! Be prepared. Get your visa. Know China and US travel rules. Make sure your passport is current. If you are planning to do sightseeing or touring, get a guide while you are there. It is cheap and unforgettable. Take a camera! :) Don't eat raw veggies or drink the native water. Hope you like seafood!
