i'd go with diarhhea (embarrassing, but he wno't question it!) if you can't say that, then say you're having "stomach issues" and are thinking about going to see your doctor (if you can make it there! haha)

Religios event, helping a neighbours pet.
my best reason would be a pipe burst and i am clearing away all the water, then i have to wait for a plumber and then... wel i won't be in all day. ;-)

Suck it up and go to work. Don't come up with some lame-@$$ excuse not to work. If you don't want to go to work then quit, someone else needs and wants your job.
