The best exercises for your thighs are leg lifts while you are lying on your sides, for your calves do toe raises. You put your toes on the edge of a step and you raise up and down on your toes, it will strengthen your calf muscles. To tone your butt you can do squats and you can run, which will also tone your legs.

Lots and lots of cardio and also using weights.
Cardio: walking, jogging, running, hiking, biking, swimming, dancing etc
Weight: free weights or use the machines
