have you ever heard of RICED?
R= rest
I= ice
C= compression
E= elevation
D= drugs
those are the things you should do when you get swelling, when there's inflammation you need to use ice to reduce the inflammation compression to keep it down, to avoid continue swelling.
keep off your feet and elevate it with some ice compression.
Good luck ^i^

The best thing for swelling on the feet is every time you sit down or lay down keep them elevated on a pillow or the arm of the couch. Also the ice pack will help.

An ice pack won't help. Swelling of the feet and legs is usually a symptom of fluid retention. Lie down and elevate ur legs above ur heart. When u sit, put ur feet up, don't let them dangle. Fluid flows to the lowest point so elevate ur legs. Go to a dr and find out why ur legs are swelling.
