is it a new piercing? where is it? you need to keep it clean wash it with a disinfectant put some neosporin on it and watch it if gets worse see your doctor. if its an old piercing check to see what the stud was made of alot of times especially other pierces areas can not tolerate metals made of anything except 14k gold.

If it was me I'd put hydrogen-peroxide on it several times a day. It disinfects wounds fast and well. It's real cheap and is found by the rubbing alcohol in stores. I would also use antibiotic ointment and wash the area several times a day.

If you want to keep the piercing, you can't keep it removed for long. You have to keep it in and be tough for a while. It will heal.

use peroxide to clean out the germs, usually a piercing shop will give you a solution (peroxide) when you get pierced. clean the earring and try to put it back in, if you don't the hole will close. then rub on some neosporin or any triple antibiotic crem.
