Use a lotion with salycilic acid in it. That will help dry out your skin and eliminate those annoying whiteheads. Murad makes an awesome gel that will dry out your skin and clear up your acne. Put it on at night while you are sleeping and I swear, you'll wake up with clearer skin. It wont go away entirely overnight depending on the severity, but it does work! Slightly expensive, but worth it.

Egg whites work wonders too, lol. I swear!

Make sure you aren't using dirty makeup, especially a makeup sponge. Those gather so much bacteria.

Also, use a toner at night before you put on the acne gel. It will clean inside your pores which will allow the gel to work better.

Neutrogena also makes a clear gel that works well too. Good luck!

The T zone is the most oiliest areas and you probably have ily skin. First of all, use only non-comedogenic facial products and makeup.Almay makes good anti acne prods. Nothing greasy etc, . Acne is due to a bacteria--propionobacter acnes. Not due to things you eat like a myth about chocolate. So you must reduce the bacteria on the surface. Use a mild soap and wash off any makeup etc before bedtime. Aply a small amt of benzoyl peroxide (an anti bacterial) on lesions(careful near clothing as can bleach). In the am, do the same thing. If gets too flaky just use once a day as skin gets used to it.
Avoid scrubbing face---makes follicles irreitated and produce more acne. Avoid touching and picking whiteheads---puts more bacteria from fingers and also increase scarring. Avoid heavy makeup.
If acne are big nodules and pustular need stronger presciption strenght meds---like Retin A to add to regime and even sometimes daily antibiotics

Removing Whiteheads

1. Exfoliate the whitehead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs. Here is a good SCRUB for you to help you to get rid of whiteheads

2. Use creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells, and helps in unclogging the pores to remove whiteheads

Dealing with Whiteheads - A word of caution
Never remove a whitehead forcibly; because in case of whiteheads the pore is not open. Forcibly removing a whitehead can damage the skin tissue and spread infection.

More tips on whiteheads
1. Drink lots of water and fresh juices.

2. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.

3. First thing in the morning - Have a glass of warm water with the juice of lemon. It helps in detoxifying the body.

A harsh scrub like St. Ives will just irritate your skin and make the problem worse. Go treat yourself to a professional facial and have extractions performed. They hurt, so you may want to take an anti-inflammatory before you begin the facial. This may be the only way those hardened whiteheads will go away. If they're unextractable by an esthetician, you may have to go to a dermalologist.

These tough whiteheads are called "Millia" and are often a sign of cholesterol buildup, but more often than not, the tendency to get them is hereditary.

I use Proactiv and it has helped with my blackheads and some times I get whiteheads on my upper arms after working out and I just the Proactiv there and it gets rid of them too. My mother saw a news special where they say that Oxy is just as good so if you want to try a cheaper alternative I would look into Oxy, but you would want to get their facial cleanser, astringent, and acne lotion and use twice a day. Well, once a day at first so your skin can adjust. With Proactiv I do the cleanser, astringent, and repairing lotion once or twice a day (If I use it only once a day it's to give my face a break and I still wash my face twice that day I just use a less harsh wash and skip the repairing lotion) and as soon as the repairing lotion has completely dried, I usually wait 10-15 minutes after the repairing lotion, I put Oil of Olay with spf 15 on my face because the repairing lotion does dry your skin so the oil of olay helps that plus you get the sun protection.

It starts inside. You have toxins in your body pushing themselves out through your skin. If nothing has worked DO NOT pour antibiotics into your body. It will make it worse as it will just make your gut flora unblanced and then that creates more toxins. So if you want clear skin, you need to clean inside first. Do a cleanse, I recommend a Dr. Natura cleanse, it's amazing. You can eat everything the same way, just take a few pills, tea, and fiber. Awesome. Then follow with probiotics to re-establish your intestinal flora. Go to a natropathic doctor and talk to them about this. You may have to change your diet in the beginning also, but if you truely want clear skin than it's worth it. Believe me, it will make a world of difference. Good luck!

Try clearasil rapid clear it has a lot of Salicylic Acid in it. It works pretty good for me. Make sure you are washing your face daily with an acne wash (I personally like Dermalogica anti-bac) and a scrub (Dermalogica daily microfoliant) also try a mask to help twice a week.
I would go to the doctor and ask for a perscription to help. You can ask for Bactrim.. its relatively cheap with few side effects and it worked for me.

I would use Biore pore strips, this will clean your pores out. After doing this wash your face with washing grains. You are getting whiteheads because of the build up of oil. Keep using the grains as they will keep your pores clean.(facial scrub)
