As soon as you start including whammy bars and the like things get complicated and fiddly. The strongest bridge is one bolted directly onto the body of the instrument. The bridge on a violin is particularly good, whilst the bridge on a Floyd Rose Tremelo guitar is pretty bad.

When you examine bridges, the ones that span the longest are the strongest. Suspension bridges are used for very long spans and thus are the strongest for a given amount of material.

depends very much what materials are used. If materials are good under compression then compression arches are usually best While cantilever bridges often have a support in the middle, they can be formed by building out from both sides and joining the two sides in the middle with a hinge in the middle

naw metals would snap its not as flexible and i think draw bridges
