Someone once said that there is no way to fall in love with another person unless you are in love with yourself. If you fall in love to complete your own happiness, it will evolve into also completing the significant other's happiness. If it's only single-sided, and the woman only is completed, then the relationship will not work. Only if it is mutual, with both sides completed in pure happiness, will the relationship last. So, to answer your question, yes, in a way, but not so they can love themselves more... the real purpose should be to complete themselves and their partner as well. :-) Great question!

We should not forget that a man and woman are two whole individuals and we necessarily dont need to fall in love to make us complete.Every individual is complete all by himself/herself.

oh get real. You cannot be in love unless you are complete and happy with yourself. The rest is just "days of our life' bold and the beautiful". Good acting

Some women don't feel complete without being in love. Also, some women are more needy than others.
