One thing you might wish to consider is that 99.99% of all dishwasher detergents contain Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) and the fumes from this stuff can be quite strong. I would be very careful aboout breathing the fumes in from your dishwasher detergents or rinse aid, since the smell can cause things ike a sore throat, and if you come into contact with the residue, it can cause blisters. Be careful.

prob the citrus smell from the dishwasher detergent got in ur throat that was already raw from the spices of ur food. it agitated it even more.
