I have always contemplated going to Kentucky on vacation and touring the different bourbon distilleries ala California's wine country. Has anyone done this and if so, what was your experience like? Would you recommend it?

I don't know-got too drunk and lost my way-had to be rescued by a tour guide. They won't let me come back. Sorry, couldn't help more.

I haven't traveled the Bourbon trail but I can say Kentucky is a gorgeous state. I'm partial because I've lived in KY all my life -- but I've heard many out of staters say the same thing.

A matter of personal taste. It tastes no different to me than regular burboun. It is heavily branded and sold as a more exotic taste and as we always discover, advertising influences sales more often than common sense.
