The money would be better spent on public welfare. Education, Social Reform, etc...

There is no need to purchase a Trident Submarine. The US Navy has enough and can cover the oceans. Spend your money domestically and assist the Nation.

no i'd buy the submarines the goverments budget is over £500bn why are people so up tight about the goverment spending 20bn on submarines which will be used to defend the country when they waste much more money on other things

I'd rather keep the submarines than entrusting the USA with our protection.
If you'd asked this a few years ago i'd have said spend it on the people, but with arsehole countries like North Korea and Iran getting itchy fingers for nukes I think we're best keeping them.

yeah id invest it in an isa or maybe premium bonds, eventually id be able to double my money and buy a replacement for trident and get some decent accommodation for the lads!!!!

I would give £2 million to Cancer Research, some to the dogs homes and also some to the Samaritans. They are all my charities I donate to and I would give them a good share of the money, leaving me enough to live comfortable.
