How do you cast out demons or evil spirits?

Question for all faith groups. Serious replies only please.

In what name do you cast out these spirits and do you have any given proof that the person is demon free? How do you do it? I am curious to know how all faith groups handle this? Also have you ever had deliverance or know of someone who was considered demonically possessed or oppressed?

I have done it. I remember though someone who was oppressed. She was prayed for. All of a sudden she had joy and peace, something that I had never seen on Her. Unfortunately, she went back to the same thing.

We command spirits out in the name of Jesus. If you know something like this is coming up, time needs to be spent in prayer, and sometimes fasting.

But after the demons are cast out, the person needs to keep from the sin, as if he goes back, he will be in worse shape, as more evil demons will come into him.

As Christians we cast out demons in the Name of Jesus. You need to have the power of God to do it and those who have power are baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). To really know that a person is possessed or oppressed by demons you need the spiritual gift of discernment of spirits or a word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit to know what kind of demons are in the person. The person who is demonised will show physical signs of oppression, unusual conduct or physical or emotional afflictions. When the person is prayed for usually the person will have to repent of any sins that the Holy Spirit will reveal and then the demons will be commanded to come out in the Name of Jesus. The person prayed for may then fall under the power of the Holy Spirit and when they arise they are free of all their afflictions and manifestations. You will notice that the person's whole countenance will change and the person will have a glow on the face and be filled with peace and joy. This is my experience.

You would want to find a member of a church who has experience in casting demons out. They do exist!!! Be very careful. I had two priests cast out demons in a friends home,
( I'm not catholic, but they specialized in doing this) There is danger, in doing this, as the demons are real, and if not done correctly, they can enter into someone else. The priest knew how to cast out, and they commanded the demons to come out, in the name of Jesus Christ. They told us, afterward that there were unclean spirits and unforgiveness in that house. They walked from room to room, praying and exorcizing the evil spirits. It wasn't as dramatic as I expected, but whether it worked or not, I'm not sure. My friend had to move out of the house shortly afterward...as there was another person living in that house, who wasn't present when the exorcism took place, and they were the actual person who should have been there at the time. To this day, 5 years later, there is confusion and chaos in that house.
So, please get a professional to cast out evil spirits, as it's too dangerous to try it otherwise.

It depends, if the situation is terrible you may require an exorcist. As a pagan, I cast a circle around the house, using a broom blessed by a highpriestess, and I even use holy water spraying it throughout the house. I lay quartz crystals through out asking them to trap any negative energy. I light sage at every corner of the house, if the name of the spirit is known, I then perform a ritual involving a bowl, the holy water, and melted wax from a black candle. I write it's name on a peice of paper, place it in the wax wait for the wax to harden and cool, and then I find a place to bury the name. I meditate on the house, imagining that the energy is black and that the quartz is sucking it in. For 24 hours the house must be empty. I then enter the house and bury the crystals.

my friends sister was possesed or so they said.
im pagan and usually the way we get our homes and stuff demon free is by casting a banishing spell or blessing the item house ect... in the name f the lord and lady which ever ones you might serve. its really symple and can be done by anyone in our religion you dont have to be a secialist or anything. and well for the knowing if it worked well its kind of a trial and error thing youll find out sooner or later if it worked or not. if it didnt you just try somthing else or do it again

ooo and just to clear things up for everyone the holy water that pufferell is talking abou tis not the same as the one the catholics use its our own pagan holy water or at least i think that is the kind she is talking about. but yeah pagans have their own type of holy water. actually there are different types of water to do different types of things soo yeah
