Use rice water. People from Asia who works in padi fields had to wash the padi or 'rice' everyday, die to the petera or something....it softens and makes the skin firmer.
Just wash normal dried rice (before its cooked), take the residue of the water and soak your hands in it twice a day. You can also wash your face with it, to make your face firm and supple.

You should stay away from "wet" household chores like dishwashing, laundry, etc as these activities dry your hands out quickly. Then diligently apply hand cream onto your fingers, including wrists. Cream would be better for a start as it is richer and more hydrating than lotion. You may also want to use those with Vitamin E enriched as they are prone to attract water molecules to keep your hands well moistured, soft and smooth over time.

Shea butter works very well for extra dry skin. Many retail outlets, including Bath and Body Works, sell reasonably priced hand creams that contain shea butter.
After you wash your hands, be sure to dry them well, and then apply the hand cream you select. Winter conditions can be tough on skin. Be sure to concentrate on the skin around your knuckles, where dry skin tends to worsen. A pair of moisture gloves while you sleep might be in order for extreme dryness.
Hope that helps!

Hi. Apply age-defying hand cream lotion which is formulated to go beyond moisturization to leave hands looking younger, smoother, healthier. You can also indulge in paraffin wax hand treatments if you're budget allows it. Another cheap trick is to apply petroleum jelly evenly in your palms and fingers and cover this with socks overnight. I guarantee you'll get the "soft as a female touch" effect in no time.

Try this.. Get some gloves, they can be cotton or latex, and fill the fingers with potroleum jelly. Then place them on your hands before you go to bed and sleep with them on through the night. I do concrete for a living and my hands get real dry and cracked and this does wonders for mine.

This may sound very strange, however, it works very well. Use olive oil and rub it all over your hands at night before bed. Then place them in clean cotton tube socks. You should see a tremendous difference in the morning. This also works very well for feet. Good luck and God bless****

Exfoliate your hands (St. Ives Apricot face scrub works for me but if you can find an exfoliator specially for hands that would be ok) twice a week lathering with thick lotion afterwards (I use cocoa butter). Also keep hands moisturized as much as you can (I use baby lotion). Hope it helps.
