My little girl is exactly the same- she rips her nappy off saying it is dirty, she knows what the potties for and will sit on its- she says she's done something, hands me an empty potty, and then wees on the floor!
This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. I've been putting her in pants which she loves wearing as they make her feel really grown up.
I think I'm just going to have to be patient, I know she'll get there soon but its really frustrating at the moment.
I'm going to put her back into nappies and try again in a couple of weeks.

Does she have the relevent vocabulary yet? Ie - wee wee, poo etc. There really is no point rushing these things - if she's not ready you will only create more aversion. I take my daughter with me when I have a wee and say 'look I'm sitting on my potty', my daughter often sits (clothed) on her potty next to me - and seems to think its clever and grown up. (she's 18 months old and still in nappies. Also - a good time to potty train is on holiday. Go cold turkey - they are in swimming costumes most of the time, so any little accidents won't really matter.

If your floors can stand it....
Let her runaround wearing towelling /big girl pants...
If she has an accident she will notice and will not like having cold damp pants..so you can sit her on potty/loo seat straightaway and then clean her up .
try "timing toilet training"
-Put her on the potty/ loo seat after meals and drinks...this is the most likely time for something to happen
( those "pull-up " pants are O.K. for going out -but they avoid the cold & wet sensation: which is what child doesn't like and helps promote the idea of getting it in the right place: potty/loo)
ALWAYS be kind and wipe/wash botty clean after accidents.
Some Mums use special potty books,so there is something interesting to do while waiting!

My son is 24 mos and was the same way. Hated his diaper but would go and pee wherever he was. It drove me crazy. But he was a boy so I would make going potty on the toilet a game. Like I would toss cherios in there and he'd try to sink them. And no she isnt to young but it all depends on her. Try putting her diaper on and get those lil panties with her favorite character over her diaper. And tell her she cant pee on mermaid or whoever. At least she'll keep her diaper on. then take it off and try with just the undies. Hope I helped. Good luck

She'll learn pretty fast if she's got urine running down her leg. Lettting them bear it all can help in the potty training. They learn to recognize the signals of when they have to go. Good luck.

Try the disposable pull up nappies. I think they are actually called "Pull ups" She will think she is wearing regular undies but it will protect her clothes in this in between time.

Maybe trying her on "the big girl toilet". Let her think she's just like her mummy and hold her sitting on the toilet.

you could try an infant toilet seat that fits onto the toilet. We had the same problem with our youngest and it worked wonders.
