I'm an black woman who is currently growing my hair out from having a very short haircut. I haven't had a relaxer in about a month. I'm washing my hair twice a week, deep conditioning and "greasing" my scalp, I'm currently wearing a wig so that my hair can "rest" or what I'd like to call detox. What are some hair products and lines for women of color to help with keeping my hair soft and managable without breaking it off. Also what are some hairstyles that I can wear that doesn't require me to have my hair relaxed?

You can try carrot or olive oil.. that helps.Try massaging your scalp maybe 2 times a day so the circulation can get going. Oh and if and when you get a relaxer try "silk effects" in regular. Its way better on your hair than something from a drug store or super center. Try wraping your hair @ night also

Well,I heard that it's better for the scalp to air while growing it out.Lack of oxigent to the scalp can cause baldness from people.
When I was growing my hair out,I wore it in a afro and curls, without relaxers and perms.Head bands make it fashionable too.
